<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device capable of suppressing enlargement of a radial size, miniaturizing an axial size and improving mountability onto a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The power transmission device 1 includes a first shaft 3, a second shaft 5, a ring gear 7, a pinion 9, a bevel gear set 11 including the ring gear 7 and the pinion 9 and changing the direction of driving force between the first shaft 3 and the second shaft 5 to transmit the driving force, and a casing 13 holding the first shaft 3, the second shaft 5 and the bevel gear set 11. The casing 13 includes a casing body 15, a cover body 17 and a bearing support body 19.
