<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oral composition that enhances adsorption effects onto the surface of the teeth of cetylpyridinium chloride exhibiting bactericidal activity against oral bacteria and suppresses stain adhesion to the teeth. <P>SOLUTION: The oral composition comprises a diol compound having 4-8 carbon atoms in the molecule and cetylpyridinium chloride.
