PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing pressure adjusting device of an offset printer, which can precisely adjust a heavy printing pressure. SOLUTION: The printing pressure adjusting device is constituted of an ascending/descending frame 7 which consists of a bearing housing part 9 which retains both ends of a blanket roll 1 and a beam part 8 and can be displaced vertically on a pedestal 4. Further, an ascending/descending mechanism 10 to be actuated by a wedge system is interposed between each bearing housing part 9 and the upper surface of the pedestal 4. A printing pressure adjusting spindle 11 is fitted to the ascending/descending frame 7, so that the gross weight of part to be displaced vertically together with the ascending/descending frame 7 is made to exceed the weight of part, which can squash the outer circumferential part of the blanket roll 1 by a collapse margin corresponding with a specified printing pressure. In addition, while a printing plate 2 or a printing object 3 is arranged below the blanket roll 1, the blanket roll 1 is made to descend together with the ascending/descending frame 7 by the ascending/descending mechanism 10 actuated by the wedge system. Thereby, the ascending/descending mechanism 10 actuated by the wedge system is stopped to keep the vertical position of the blanket roll 1 at the point of time when the collapse margin of the contact part of the blanket roll 1 with the printing plate 2 or the printing object 3 becomes equal to the collapse margin corresponding with the specified printing pressure.
