PURPOSE: A large two-stroke diesel engine with an exhaust gas recirculation system is provided to increase freedom in design of an exhaust gas recirculation path and improve control of devices for processes in the exhaust gas recirculation path. CONSTITUTION: A large two-stroke diesel engine with an exhaust gas recirculation system comprises a plurality of cylinders(2) connected to an exhaust gas receiver(6), a scavenge air path including a scavenge air receiver(11) connected to the cylinders, and an exhaust gas recirculation path(16) for recirculating a part of exhaust gas to the scavenge air path. At least part of the exhaust gas recirculation path includes two or more parallel lines(17a,17b) including one or more devices(19a,19b,20a,20b) for processing or controlling recirculated exhaust gas.
