PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, since pressure is measured for a whole face of a contact point of a switching device, a lopsided contact, or exhaustion of a part of a contact, for instance, a center part of the contact, can not be detected as pressure decrease. SOLUTION: The switching device, provided with a fixed contact and a movable contact arranged in opposition to the fixed contact in free contact and separation, is made provided with a pressure measurement device equipped with a pressure measurement face of nearly the same area as a contact face of the fixed contact and the movable contact for measuring pressure of the contact face.
