PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing tool for safely and reliably fixing a fitted element to the painted surface of a steel structure such as a steel tower. SOLUTION: This fixing tool A includes a magnet 3 attracted to the painted surface, a screw member 2 which holds the magnet 3 and supports a cross arm 5, and the cross arm 5 for holding the generally bobbin-shaped fitted element 1 for inspecting the painted surface. The screw member 2 fixes and holds the magnet 3 at one end thereof and supports the cross arm 5. A slide hole is formed at one end of the cross arm 5 in the longitudinal direction. The screw member 2 extends through the slide hole, and a wing nut 7 which can be tightened to the screw member 2 is screwed onto the cross arm 5. The one end of the cross arm 5 is supported, through the slide hole, on the screw member 2 rotatably in the circumferential direction of the screw member 2 and slidably in the radial direction of the screw member 2.
