The present invention relates to a device for scattering a substance contained in a liquid material into the air, said device including a plurality of tanks that are connected by means of a mixing device so as to jointly feed a single scattering mechanism. The invention also relates to one such device having at least one movable intake element for exercising control over the proportions of said mixture. The invention moreover relates to various structures that group together a plurality of tanks around one such intake element leading to said tanks so as to controllably feed a catalytic combustion scattering head. The invention further relates to safety characteristics provided by a built-in movable protective device that improves safety by precluding the simultaneity of the filling and lighting operations. The invention also relates to a particularly advantageous combination of said characteristics for flexibility of use and for safety.
