<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an induction cooking apparatus including a function to recognize overheating even if foreign matters are inserted. <P>SOLUTION: A set control value changing unit 109 changes a set control value of a high-frequency power supply unit 104 to maintain a set power, and a set control value change detecting unit 110: observes the change in the set control value caused by the set control value changing unit 109; and monitors the changes in the set control value caused by the overheating to recognize the condition of the overheating to recognize the state of the overheating.
