PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing method capable of printing a base material with ink uniformly in thickness.

SOLUTION: A printer 10 includes a frame 5, a flat anilox plate 1 fixed on the frame 5 and having a plurality of cells 2 on the upper surface, an ink supply part 7 for supplying ink 30 on the upper surface of the anilox plate 1, a base material surface plate 6 which is fixed on the frame 5 and on which a flat base material 52 is placed, and a plate cylinder 24 mounted on the frame 5 so as to run on the frame 5. The plate cylinder 24 has an elastic material-made flexographic plate 23 contacting the upper surface of the anilox plate 1 to receive the ink 30 and transferring the ink 30 onto the base material 52. The viscosity of the ink 30 at a shear rate of 100/sec (at an ink temperature of 23°C) is within the range from 51 to 200 cP. In the plate cylinder 24, a rotation velocity of the plate cylinder 24 to the frame 5 is controlled to be 20 rpm or more by a control unit 9.
