PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a state detection method, a state detection system and an automobile for detecting ON/OFF state of electric equipment. SOLUTION: This system detects the ON/OFF state of a plurality of electric equipment such as front lights 31 and 32, rear lights 33 and 34 and parking lights 35 and 36 mounted on the automobile 1, and includes a magnetometer 72 for measuring the size of a magnetic field in at least different two directions in an optional point, and an analyzer 74 for specifying contribution of the respective electric equipment (31-36) to the respective sizes of the magnetic field measured by the magnetometer 72, and detects the ON/OFF state of the respective electric equipment (31-36) based on an analytical result by the analyzer 74.
