摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure the pressing force generated from a pair of brake shoes provided in a drum brake apparatus, in a state where it is not mounted to a vehicle and presses an inner circumference of a drum. SOLUTION: In a pressing force measurement apparatus 10 constituting (a) a base 152 for holding the drum brake apparatus 20; (b) a pair of load sensors 154, having respective pressure receiving surfaces 190 and measuring a load applied to the pressure-receiving surfaces; and (c) a load sensor holding mechanism 156 for holding a pair of the load sensors so as to cause the pressure receiving surfaces of a pair of the load sensors to face frictional materials 50 of a pair of the brake shoes in the drum brake apparatus, in a state where it is held by the base, the pressure-receiving surfaces are convex curved surfaces. In such a constitution, the frictional force generated between the pressure-receiving surfaces of the load sensors and the friction materials of the brake shoes is reduced, and the effect of the friction force can be reduced, when the pressing force is measured so that the pressing force can be measured accurately.
