PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opaque colored plate glass building material which is free of heat cracks when used in any part of a building and has convex patterns on a design surface, exhibits excellent design. SOLUTION: The colored plate glass building material 10 includes a plate-like body 10a substantially free of bubbles comprising a crystallized glass formed of aβ-quartz solid solution or aβ-spodumene solid solution as main crystals and having an average coefficient of linear expansion at 30 to 380°C of at most 20×10<SP>-7</SP>/K, and has a surface roughness Ra value of an ornamentalized surface 10b of the plate-like body 10a of at most 200 nm, a surface waviness Wa value in at least one direction of at most 3μm and an island-like, stripe-like or belt-like convex parts 10d, 10e of 0.5 to 10 mm in height with a base surface 10c as a reference, the distance between the centers of convex parts 10d, 10e of 10 to 200 mm and an average visible light transmittance in 5 mm thickness of less than 0.1%. The fixed structure is obtained by fixing the colored plate glass building material 10 on a base material by adhesion with an epoxy, urethane or silicone adhesive. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
