PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polyvinyl chloride resin-based fiber for artificial hair expressing luster similar to that of human hair which is produced without requiring any addition to a production process and also without being largely limited on cross sectional surface shape or the like; and to provide an article for artificial hair produced by using the same material as that of the fiber for artificial hair using the polyvinyl chloride resin. SOLUTION: The fiber for artificial hair is formed of a polyvinyl chloride resin composition. The polyvinyl chloride resin composition comprises polyvinyl chloride resin having an average polymerization degree of 500-1,400, and polyvinyl chloride having an average polymerization degree of 1,700-4,000.
