<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information display device which can automatically extract and display information with a high probability of necessity for a user in a number of information sites existing on a network. <P>SOLUTION: An access is made to a URL of each previously registered information site, and an individual title (a link text) of a Web page corresponding to each URL is extracted. An access is also made to a link destination URL of the each title, and the text of a page corresponding to the each link destination URL is extracted. The extracted individual title, link destination URL, and text are stored in an extraction result list in association with an ID of the registered URL (SA). The similarity of the text is found between each of URLs and each of IDs stored in the list, and only the individual title corresponding to the text with high similarity (SB) is displayed in an important information list window (SC).
