PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image motion correction device and method for the same, along with an imaging apparatus, capable of preventing erroneous detection when detecting blur of a moving image, capable of obtaining a desired corrected image without blur, and capable of maintaining image quality. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus 100 has a moving amount detector 150 for detecting a motion between temporally continued images, and a motion corrector 160 including a function for correcting a position and/or a magnitude of an image so as to cancel the motion detected by the moving amount detector. The motion corrector 160 compares an integration value of a differential between a corrected image and an image of a frame preceding to the image with an integration value of a differential between an image obtained by shifting the corrected image in any arbitrary direction and the image of the preceding frame.
