PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing device of a digital signal capable of recovering a data error of a TS packet caused by a receiving apparatus. SOLUTION: The recording and reproducing device includes a tuner for generating a plurality of TS packets from a digitally-broadcast digital signal; a multiple separation section for separating a TS packet for a first program, including data constituting a program and a TS packet for a second program, including a reference clock value for a program from the plurality of TS packets to generate a TS packet block, including the TS packet for the second program and the TS packet for the first program; a decoding section for decoding the TS packets to detect a data error included in the TS packet for the first program; a storage section for storing the TS packets; and a restoration block acquiring section for acquiring a restoration block, including restoration data which is an alternative to the TS packet block having the TS packet for the first program including a data error based on a reference block value for a program included in the TS packet for the second program.
