PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a segment brush with relatively long bristles made of a bristle material such as a metallic wire member, a synthetic resin member and a paper member. SOLUTION: The segment brush is constituted at least of bristles comprising a plurality of bound bristle materials and a heat-shrinkable tube for covering the bound bristles. The segment brush has an end fixed to a polishing device, and can polish a workpiece by one of end surfaces of the bristles. The heat-shrinkable tube has a plurality of lines of a plurality of perforations formed in a circumferential direction of the bristles. The heat-shrinkable tube comes off along the perforations as the bristles wear. Since the heat-shrinkable tube has the perforations provided at predetermined intervals along the circumferential direction, the tube can be prevented from tearing along the vertical direction of the bristles and in addition a worn area of the tube is removed on each line of the perforations.
