THERMOSTABILIZER FOR POLYVINYL CHLORIDE, POLYVINYL CHLORIDE RESIN COMPOSITION, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

Provided is a thermostabilizer for polyvinyl chloride, which is formed from a mixed powder (P) that contains a vinyl alcohol polymer (A) having an average degree of saponification of 30 to 99.99 mol% and a viscosity average degree of polymerization of 1,000 or less and a zinc compound (B) such that the weight ratio (A/B) of (A) and (B) is within the range of 1/10 to 10/1 and 80 wt% or more of the particles of the mixed powder (P) pass through a screen having 75 µm openings. Further provided is a polyvinyl chloride resin composition containing 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of the thermostabilizer for polyvinyl chloride per 100 parts by weight of polyvinyl chloride resin. It is possible to obtain a molded article having excellent thermostability during molding and showing little discoloration by using the polyvinyl chloride resin composition.
