PURPOSE: A device for displaying battery residual capacity and charging/discharging state is provided to obtain useless voltage drop effect due to a sensing resistance. CONSTITUTION: A charging IC(Integrated Circuit)(104) offers current for charging a battery(102) using an external charging poser source. A sensing resistor(106) is placed between the battery and the charging IC. A switch(108) is connected in parallel with the sensing resistance. The switch is opened in a residual capacity measurement of the battery. A current is flowed to the sensing resistance by the switch open. A control unit(112) calculates the residual capacity amount of the battery.
