PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lectin peptide which has the same sugar-recognizing characteristic as that of Pholiota terrestris lectin (PTL) and has modified other physical properties. SOLUTION: There are provided a peptide which has the same fucoseα1→6 sugar chain-binding activity as that of PTL, and in which one or several amino acids in a specific amino acid sequence of PTL are replaced by lysine and/or arginine; and a diagnostic medicine for fucoseα1→6 sugar chain-related diseases, using the peptide.
