PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding method and a molding device, wherein when a metal is melted and molded, the molding can be performed by a simple and inexpensive device constitution, and further, the efficiency of the molding can be improved. SOLUTION: The molding device 1 includes: a material feeding part 10 feeding a feeding material 12; a material holding member 8 made of a nonconductive material, having an inlet opening part through which the feeding material 12 can pass and an outlet opening part formed with an opening preventing the passage of the feeding material 12 and further larger than the maximum outside diameter in the horizontal direction upon melting of the feeding material 12, and holding the feeding material 12 at the inside face; an induction coil 7 making induction current flow through the held feeding material 12 and floating and melting the feeding material 12 without coming into contact with the material holding member 8 to form a melt at the upper part of the outlet opening part; and a die installing part 5 installed with a die 6 opened toward the outlet opening part at the lower side of the material holding member 8.
