PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the emission of greenhouse effect gas CO2 by sorting an uncontaminated and recyclable part from a contaminated part of a used syringe and recycling the syringe. SOLUTION: A syringe needle P of the syringe A is inserted into a slit 25 between abutting plates 24 and 24, and the body of the syringe A is placed on a receiving recess 44. When a cutting switch is pressed, a motor 31 is rotated and a presser plate 34 is rotated to press the distal end of the body of the syringe A. Then, the distal end of the syringe A including the syringe needle P is cut by a cutting blade 27 between the presser plate 34 and the receiving recess 44 and discarded, and the remaining body of the syringe A is recycled.
