摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calculation method, device and program capable of acquiring a value of accurate rotation torque taking influence caused by variations in a contact state into consideration, which is a problem particular to a four-point contact ball bearing. <P>SOLUTION: A method which calculates rotation torque acting between inner and outer rings of a four-point contact ball bearing, includes an individual torque calculation process (V1) for calculating rotation torque T for every rolling element, and a total sum calculation process (V2) for acquiring the sum of the rotation torque T of all rolling elements to be taken as rotation torque acting between the inner and outer rings. In the individual torque calculation process, the calculation is performed by utilizing information whether a contact state is close to a two-point contact state or a four-point contact state. A four-contact ratio C<SB>f</SB>which is a ratio of surface pressure of smaller surface pressure to larger surface pressure with respect to respective maximum contact pressures P<SB>1</SB>, P<SB>2</SB>of the respective two raceway surfaces and rolling elements of the inner ring, is employed as the contact state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
