<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the necessity of the transmission of a captured image from a digital camera to an external server for image processing when images captured by the digital camera are displayed as a slide show on a digital photo frame. <P>SOLUTION: The camera includes an input/output section 44 which receives the display characteristic information of a display device, an observation environment information generator 70 which measures an observation environment of a place where the display device is installed to output observation environment information, an image data storage section which stores image data outputted from an imager 76, and an image processor 82 which performs image processing on the image data based on the display characteristic information and the observation environment information to generate processed image data.
