PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for developing a technique for selectively identifying and visualizing lymphatic vessel cells and obtaining the real time image of lymphatic vessel in a live mammal; and to provide a method for using a lymphatic vessel cell-specific transcription regulatory region polynucleotide.

SOLUTION: There are provided the polynucleotide having the transcription regulatory activity of human Prox 1 or LYVE 1 which is a lymphatic vessel cell-specific gene, and a vector connect-containing in a form where various reporter genes can act on the polynucleotide.
