VIDEO DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically switch between a display in which a viewer is prevented from being conscious of flickering which may occur when displaying contents with skew distortion according to an interlace system, and a display with fidelity to an inputted video image.

SOLUTION: A flickering detection and display control section 16 of a digital broadcast receiver 1 detects flickering based on a video image on an upper part of screen of video data in predetermined timing and performs display control to conceal flickering in the case where the flickering is detected.
