PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a waiting time until an information processing system becomes operational without the need of registering a start time beforehand even if a service providing means such as a server device is not in an operational state.

SOLUTION: The information processing system includes: a connection detection means which detects the connection of the client device to a network by receiving a signal from the client device by a management device; and a request sending means to send a starting request signal which starts the service means to a service providing means to provide service when detecting the connection of the client device by the connection detection means.
