<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience of a wireless communication apparatus, capable of using channels that are more than the number of contacts of a rotary switch. <P>SOLUTION: A control unit 11 detects whether a channel bank having a plurality of channels is switched by detecting whether a rotational position of a rotary knob of the rotary switch 10 exceeds a specific point to rotate from binary data output from the rotary switch 10, extracts a channel of the channel bank selected by the rotation of the rotary knob on the basis of the detection result and the binary data, and designates the extracted channel of the channel bank in a transmitting and receiving unit 14.
