<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle presence informing device making it easier for people to be aware of the vehicle presence, and generating less unpleasant informing sound. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle presence informing device concurrently generates, as the informing sound, (i) a basic high frequency of 4 kHz that is a high frequency recognizable to people's ears; and (ii) three auxiliary low frequencies of 2 kHz, 1 kHz, and 500 Hz each having a harmonic relationship with the basic high frequency. The informing device can inform the surrounding people of the vehicle presence with a high probability by incorporating "the basic high frequency of 4 kHz recognizable to people's ears" into the informing sound. Further, by incorporating "these three auxiliary low frequencies of 2 kHz, 1 kHz, and 500 Hz having the harmonic relationship with 4 kHz" into "the harsh 4 kHz" the informing sound including "the basic high frequency of 4 kHz" can be softened, thereby reducing an unpleasant feeling given to the people.
