<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partial discharge measuring method capable of measuring with excellent SN ratio, partial discharge generated in a container of a power apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In this partial discharge measuring method, which is a method for measuring partial discharge generated in the container 12 of the power apparatus 10 formed by storing a body part 14 in the metal container 12, the partial discharge is measured by measuring a potential V<SB>p</SB>on one or more points on the wall surface of the container 12.
