PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile seat which has an active headrest effect that effectively reduces a clearance between the head part of an occupant and a headrest and further improves safety by enabling the headrest to absorb a large collision load, a large load, and by effectively supporting the head part of the occupant at the time of a collision accident of an automobile with a simple structure that is hardly accompanied by weight increase or a cost burden. SOLUTION: A flat pad supporter 20 has a plurality of long, narrow, vertical pleats, which extend in the vertical direction at a part corresponding to a center pad portion at proper intervals in the right and left direction, which are bent in folded-ridge shapes on its surface, and which are sewn by the French seam with threads that are cut when a large load is applied. Then, a seat back pad 10 is integrated with the flat pad supporter 20 on a frame contact surface 11 by being integrally foamed from a forming resin liquid to the flat pad supporter 20.
