PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a choke coil that has a plurality of gaps dispersed and arranged in an amorphous thin band, and also has the size and number of the gaps so determined as to precisely obtain desired inductance characteristics. SOLUTION: Gap holes 5 are provided to the amorphous thin band 4 based upon the diameter and number of the holes so calculated as to have a desired inductance value. Further, the gap holes 5 are dispersed and arranged in the amorphous thin band 4 using a matrix method etc., to suppress heat generation, thereby obtaining the choke coil whose leakage magnetic flux is also reduced.
