PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroluminescent element having an optical resonance structure in which variation of chromaticity at a low viewing angle in a high viewing angle is controlled. SOLUTION: The electroluminescent element is provided with an resonator 19 composed of two facing reflection mirrors 11, 17 arranged in parallel to a laminated face of a plurality of layers so that light emitted from a light emitting region 15 may be resonated, and there are provided in the resonator 19 particulates having a peak of scattering and/or absorption against a resonator wavelength in a high angle region having an inclination more than 30°against an optical axil A perpendicular to the reflection mirrors 11, 17.
