摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease irregular drying in an alignment film 6, by performing printing so that the film thickness of a center portion and the peripheral portion of a display area 12 is more uniformized. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device includes collectively producing a plurality of liquid crystal panels, by using a large transparent substrate on which a plurality of liquid crystal panels are laid out; the method includes applying by printing an alignment film 6 on the large transparent substrate, by using a flexographic printing plate 10, having an uneven pattern 11 provided in stripes over the plurality of display areas 12. As a result, the difference in drying rates of the alignment film 6 induced in the center portion and in the peripheral portion of the display area 12 can be decreased, and decrease in the display quality, such as irregularity, can be avoided.
