PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming toner in which a pigment is uniformly dispersed in toner particles and which has a wide color-reproduction range and satisfies both the low-temperature fixability and heat-resistant storage stability, and to provide a one-component developer and a two-component developer thereof, and an image forming method, an image forming apparatus and a process cartridge which uses the toner. SOLUTION: The image-forming toner contains at least a binder resin, and a colorant and is produced in an aqueous medium, wherein the colorant is prepared by surface treatment of a pigment with a colorant dispersing resin which is resin insoluble in the aqueous medium.
