<p>Provided are device and method for generating a large volume of ion wind so as to introduce ions and ozone to a space in which objects to be sterilized or deodorized are arranged, without using a fan; and an external sterilizing and deodorizing device and a sterilizing and deodorizing method. An ion/ozone wind generation device has a pair of electrodes consisting of a needle electrode and an opposite electrode, and generates a potential difference between the needle electrode and the opposite electrode to generate ions, ozone, and ion wind by corona discharge. The opposite electrode has a primary annular opposite electrode that is planar, and a secondary annular opposite electrode that is planar and surrounds the primary annular opposite electrode. The longest distance between the tip of the needle electrode and the primary annular opposite electrode is shorter than the shortest distance between the tip of the needle electrode and the secondary annular opposite electrode.</p> |
