Disclosed is a planar light-emitting device provided with: a light source; a sheet-shaped light guide disposed in proximity to the aforementioned light source, and into which the light from the aforementioned light source is introduced from one edge thereof; a sheet switch disposed facing the aforementioned light guide on the side of one surface of the aforementioned light guide; and an adhesive that bonds the aforementioned light guide and the aforementioned sheet switch. The aforementioned adhesive has a single-layer structure.
