The device has an electrical contact or a probe (7) that is provided in the area of branching of a branch rail (2) from a main guide rail (1). The probe is activated mechanically, magnetically or optically along the main guide rail by a releasing element (4c) during process of the wagon (4), in order to signalizing that the wagon reaches the branching area along the main guide rail or the wagon engages the position at the longitudinal axis of the branch rail with its vertical axis. The wagon is displaced into the branch rail without hindrances from the main guide rail.
