PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing 4-hydroxycinnamoyl peptide derivatives is provided to ensure antoixidation with less cytotoxicity and stability. CONSTITUTION: A 4-hydroxycinnamoyl peptide derivatives is denoted by chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, R1, R2, R4, and R5 are independently hydrogen, hydroxy, C1-C6 alkyl group, C1-C6 alkoxy group, cyano, halo, or amino; and R3 is hydroxy. The cosmetic composition for antioxidation or anti-inflammation contains the derivatives of chemical formula 1.
