PURPOSE: A method for transmitting and receiving Ethernet data in a base station and apparatus thereof are provided to divide an Ethernet channel which is allocated to a CPRI(Common Public Radio Interface) into a plurality of Ethernet channels. CONSTITUTION: A DU(Digital Unit) determines the number of Ethernet channels for Ethernet data transmission based on the shape of a connected RRU(Remote Radio Frequency Unit)(702). The DU sets up a plurality of Ethernet pointers(704). The DU divides one Ethernet channel into a plurality of Ethernet channel in the use of an Ethernet pointer(706). The DU allocates the divided Ethernet channels into RRU(708).
