PURPOSE: A network camera and a method for operating the same are provided to construct a system using network cameras without using a network video recorder. CONSTITUTION: One or more network cameras(110a~100e) photograph a monitoring area. A storage medium(120) stores a video data. One or more network cameras store the image data of one or more network cameras to the storage medium. One or more network camera has a right to process a client request of a client device(130).
