Coupling device and method of operating a multi-disk clutch

The method for the operating of a multi-plate clutch with several clutch plates which as alternately externally and internally toothed plates (16,22) are supported on respective carriers, entails supplying the plates with lubricating oil for the cooling of the clutch, and for the starting of the vehicle creating a slip moment in which a directed feed of oil takes place between the clutch plates of the at least partially open clutch. To create the slip moment the lubricating oil provided for the cooling of the clutch plates is used.
