An adapter cassette (10) including a housing (12) and an adapter plate (14) that mounts to a front opening of the housing by a snap- fit connection. The adapter cassette also including a cover (16) that mounts to the housing by a snap-fit connection to enclose cable terminations within an interior of the housing. The adapter plate of the adapter cassette can further be mounted directly to a telecommunications panel without the housing for use in applications having non- enclosed cable terminations.
