FOLDING ANALOG DIGITAL CONVERTER

摘要

PURPOSE: A folding analog digital converter is provided to minimize power consumption by converting the current sources of an analog pre-processor to an action mode or a sleeping mode according to the comparison result of an input signal and reference voltage. CONSTITUTION: A referent voltage generating unit(20) generates a reference voltage. An analog pre-processor(30) comprises a plurality of folders which generate folded output signals comparing an analog input signal and the reference voltages. The folders comprise a plurality of folding units the analog input signal and the reference voltages. A comparison unit(40) outputs a digital signal by comparing outputs of the analog pre-processor. An encoding unit(50) changes the outputs of the comparison unit into a binary code signal.
