PURPOSE: An effective signal transmitting method and an apparatus therefor are provided to efficiently transmit a reference signal or data in a relay system. CONSTITUTION: A base station creates a DM RS(Demodulation Reference Signal) sequence for each layer(S1110). The base station confirms whether relay can use a final symbol of a sub-frame or not(S1120). The base station transmits the DM RS through a first and a second slot of the sub-frame(S1130). The base station transmits the DM RS through the first slot of the sub-frame(S1140). A signal processing for the DM RS electrical transmission comprises pre-coding, element mapping, and OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) signaling.
