PURPOSE: A message passing framework for audio/video streaming in a topology of devices is provided to perform an action by the sorts of the received messages from a device. CONSTITUTION: A device receives a message(126). The device acquires the definition of the message(128). If the received message is an up action message, the device performs an action in an outbound(130,132). If the received message is a down action message, the device performs an action along the ACK(134,136).
