PURPOSE: A semiconductor device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to protect a cell array region from the external moisture or the contamination by including a moisture-proof film which covers the upper part of the cell array region and a moisture-proof reinforced structure passing through a moisture proof structure. CONSTITUTION: A substrate comprises a dummy pattern region which surrounds a cell array region(CAR). A plurality of cells activity posts is perpendicularly extended from the substrate in the cell array region. Cell gate patterns of multi-layer have the side putting opposite side of the cell activity posts and laminated on the top of the substrate by turns. A cell structure(C) comprises cell gate layer insulation patterns. A moisture proof structure is arranged on the top of the substrate in a dummy pattern region(DPR).
