PURPOSE: A bicycle using an electric motor for the old and weak is provided to enable old and feeble people or patients to enjoy riding a bicycle safely and readily. CONSTITUTION: A bicycle for the old and weak comprises pedals(12), a rotation delivery, a drive shaft(1), a gear(5), an electric motor(7), a battery(8), and a speed controller(9). Bicycles whets are fixed to both ends of the drive shaft. The gear is fixed to the drive shaft via a key and rotates together. The electric motor is fitted with a pinion engaged with the gear and applies torque to the drive shaft. The battery offers electric power to the electric motor. The speed controller controls the magnitude of electric power provided by the battery.
