摘要 PURPOSE: An engine control method of a traction control system for a manual transmission vehicle is provided to prevent the reduction of engine torque at the time of speed change by compensating the engine torque so that the actual speed of a drive shaft follows the target speed. CONSTITUTION: An engine control method of a traction control system for a manual transmission vehicle comprises the steps of: checking whether the duration of an abrupt change in the ratio between the measured driving speed and the engine rpm of a vehicle is over the critical value(S1,S2), determining as the change of vehicle speed if the duration is over the critical value(S3), checking whether the engine rpm is reduced or an error value is less than the speed factor(S4), and, if the engine speed increases and the error value is equal to or greater than the speed factor, calculating an engine compensation torque value and applying the value to an engine controller in order to prevent the reduction of engine output at the time of acceleration after speed change(S6).
