A touch-fastening anti-skidding material (10, fig 1) includes a woven foundation layer 40 formed by weaving of pliable base yarns 30a, 30b and synthetic yarns 20a, 20b in the same plane. The synthetic yarns 20a, 20b are woven in U-shaped loops to form short legs which extend from the plane of the foundation layer 40 and the base yams 30a, 30b are woven between adjacent strands of the woven synthetic yarns (20a, 20b) to make a large area cloth. The cloth may have openings in it or may be formed without openings. The synthetic yarns have rigidity and are preferably formed from polymer plastic materials. |
